Tile Calculator

It's easy to make mistakes when measuring up your area to be tiled, but this handy step by step calculator will ensure you get the calculation correct 1st time.

Step 5. Are you wanting a slim border or full sheet border?

To calculate the border required, we assume the following:

  • Slim Border: 70mm height strips x 300mm wide sheets, using 4 cut strips per sheet
  • Full sheet Border: 300mm height x 300mm width sheets.

If you would like a larger border, you will have to take the height and/or width dimensions into consideration.

Step 6. How many border strips do you want to zone, and in what direction?

For Example:

  • Slim Border - 1 Zone

  • Slim Border - 2 Zones

  • Slim Border - 3 Zones

  • Full Sheet Border

Step 5. Allow for any wastage

We suggest that you add an extra 10% onto the amount required, to allow for tile cuts or mistakes. (But don’t worry you can order more and bring back what you don’t use!)
