Revealed as Dulux’s colour of the year 2021, Brave Ground has been selected to neutralise our homes in 2021. This warm neutral is not a WOW shade but that’s the beauty of this neutral hue – it’s the understated allure, which we are being inspired to draw upon.

Brave Ground pairs with multiple colour palettes and adapt to its surrounding. This earthy shade aims to create a safe space in which we can take comfort from the changing world outside. Earthy tones will be present in the coming seasons, following being present in global trends last summer. Pinteret revealed ‘terracotta walls’ searches increased by 86% year on year in the UK 2020.

The colour palette pf plaster pink, burnt orange, spiced ochre and charcoal black, all pigments drawn from natural materials. Crown have called this the ‘Naturally Perfect’ trend.
